Recordable Storybook from Hallmark!

The Recordable Storybook from Hallmark is now available! You can check it out here. This is a great new product that I just may have poured a bit of my heart and soul into. So run, don't walk, to your nearest Gold Crown store and get your hands on a copy before they're all gone. And believe me, they will probably sell out this year. Available titles are The Night Before Christmas, All the Ways I Love You, and Bright & Beautiful.

I just picked up All the Ways I Love You while I was there this morning, small world. Your heart and soul were poured nicely, I LOVE IT!

This is such an amazing idea--please, PLEASE keep putting titles out there for people to buy! Any other classic children's tales would be fabulous...and I guarantee that parents and families out there will be tickled!

I am so excited to go buy one of these. My mother-in-law has terminal cancer and it would be so great to have her do this for my now 4 year old daughter. Such an amazing and greatly sentimental idea. Thank you Hallmark!

I just bought this book and can't wait to record this story in my own voice for my two Grandchildren that live in France. What a wonderful idea, hopefully more stories will be coming. Thank You!!

I'm so glad to hear that so many people love this idea. And don't worry--there will be several more Recordable Storybooks from Hallmark coming out in 2010, so keep checking at your local Gold Crown store!

Can anyone tell me how expensive these books are? I am interested in getting one for my children but we don't have a store near us. It will be a long drive and I want to see if it is worth it! Thanks!

I also am going to get one for my daughter whose daddy is in afghanistan. We made videos of him reading books for her but this is a great idea also. I cant wait to buy her one!!!!

Heather, the books are $29.95 each. It's a pretty good deal when you think about how a plain old hardcover kids' book costs $18 - $20. And these let you record yourself reading them!

As for buying them online, unfortunately Hallmark doesn't offer this. You might check amazon or ebay to see if anyone is selling them there.

Good luck finding them. Trust me, they're totally worth it. The sound quality is awesome, and the recording is saved, even when you change the batteries!

What can I say? When I saw the first ad for a book that let me leave such a wonderful & thoughtful legecy to my grandchild, I jumped for joy! I fully intend to read "The Night before Christmas" first and already have the other two new ones waiting for me at his house..
and can't thank you enough for such a "purfect" gift..to my grandson and to his grandmother!

Thank you with all my heart..

This really is a great idea! That's why I created it 3 years ago! But rather than just the option of 3 books, you can create an audio for ANY book...with sound effects and background music. Almost the same price too! The original ideas are always better than the copied versions. :-) www.ReadAlongWithme.com

Hallmark has a $5.00 off coupon in a lot of magazines...and some people on EBay are selling $10.00 off coupons.

Just saw the TV commercial for the Christmas book and had to check it out on Hallmark's website right away. Very cool idea! Glad to see there are a few other stories to choose from so far too. I may have to nab one up for my goddaughter. :)

I just saw a recordable storybook used last evening on "Extreme Home Makeover." It looked like it would be so easy to use. My daughters have little boys. I think I need to get a couple of these books so I can read my grandsons bedtime stories from afar. I agree with the comment made on November 14: More stories, please.

The book featured on ABC's Extreme Home Makeover was one of Hallmark's new recordable storybooks! It's called "All the Ways I Love You" and would make a PERFECT Valentine's Day gift!

Try checking with Ellen's Hallmark in Sarasota, Florida. I bought a few on Thursday and they still had some. The December ladies' magazines had a $10 off coupon.

Will the Night Before Christmas be brought back in 2010? I waited to long to purchase, and now it is sold out. I am hopeful.

There are lots on eBay at about $20 more than the store. No more coming out is what they told me.

If you love this recordable book, DigiTells Read-Along With Me is MUST HAVE! It will turn ANY storybook into a recordable book. And its more than just your voice...it adds sound effects and background music too.
They are available online for christmas! Oh yeah...its the same price as 1 hallmark book, but you can create UNLIMITED audio books.

What a great idea you have had with this. If I may, I would like to suggest “Yes Virginia There is A Santa Clause”, Francis Church’s reply to Virginia O'Hanlon in 1897 for next year. As I am sure you know, it remains the most reprinted editorial ever to run in any newspaper in the English language. I believe it would surely become a classic handed down from generation to generation.

I am in need of All the Ways I Love You. I can't find it anywhere! My husband is leaving for Iraq and my 3 year old is having a hard time. I have looked at every Hallmark around. I was able to get the Christmas one, but thought it would be special for next Christmas since he won't be home yet. Any suggestions please email me somebodysmom77@yahoo.com

I just googled recordable books and your website came up. This is SUCH a wonderful idea, I wanted to share my story and how much The Night Before Christmas book means to me. Almost two and a half years ago now, my husband was laid off in Michigan. After looking for a job for 6 months and a baby on the way, we left our families and moved to California for a job for him. I had my daughter 3 months later. Needless to say, the adjustment to living away from family with a baby has been tough, and there are times that I miss my family more than I can say. More than that though, I am sad for the experiences my daughter will miss with her great grandparents, great aunts and uncles, grandparents and aunts and uncles. This year for Christmas my sister got my daughter the most amazing gift she will ever receive. She gave my daughter The Night Before Christmas, with each family member reading a different part of the story. She took the book to differnet family fucntions and had everyone read a portion. Then she printed out small pictures of each person and glued them on each page so that my daughter would know who was reading to her. Although my daughter is only 19 months old, she LOVES this book. We have read it EVERY night since she opened it on Christmas Eve. I cried when she opened it, and I cry just about every time we read it, because I have to say there is nothing better than hearing my 90 year old grandmother read "Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night". Now, I just happened on this blog, and I don't even know if what you posted about your involvement with this Hallmark project is true. But just in case it is true, Thank You. Thank you for making being so far away from home a little easier.

A family disagreement has kept me from my 8 year old Grandson for 17 months. I am not sure if I will ever see him again. We were very close and I know he misses me as much as I miss him. I am buying one of these books today, and although by the time he is old enough to get into my safe deposit box the book will be on the young side, however, he will find it and will know I love him more than anything. If you are going to sell books that are for teens in the next 6 months please let me know.
